Alternative Education: Index for SKOLE,
The Journal of Alternative Education 1985-1999
in the following categories:

(Note: this Index is also listed on Paths of Learning's Resource Center site under http://www.PathsofLearning.com/action.cfm)

Click on any of the underlined categories in red below to locate an article in one of the following topical categories. Scroll down to find your category if it is not at the top of your page. Each item is listed with the issue, year and page of the SKOLE journal given.

You may also find a second indexing page listing the categories by name and by issue by clicking here.

If you wish to order more than one article, it might be cheaper to order a volume of Challenging ($14.95 each plus shipping) instead of either a reprint of an individual article ($4 plus mailing) or an issue ($5 each plus shipping). Check out the accompanying Challenging the Giant Index (at the bottom of the page) for listings from any of the four volumes of 500 pages each (plus or minus), which contain many of the same items. See below for details on prices and on how to order:

If you need an article for an assignment or research purposes (of whatever kind) and can't wait several days or are in too much of a financial bind to pay for it, call me and if it seems like the right thing to do, I'll send it by e-mail or post it for you on my website. I'm here to be helpful, not to make money, but they cost me too - so let's talk!

I also need to add a note about SKOLE:

Gathering up all this data and offering it to families and students for their uses, I need to add a note here. I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to all the many, many talented people whose contributions represent so much of the bulk of my tiny alternative journal SKOLE. I was naive in those days (1985-1998) and didn't taken seriously the issue of authors' copyrights, being so dedicated to the cause of alternatives in education. I know better now, having joined the larger community of the Internet, and would be more than happy, at this late date, to acknowledge the priority of anyone whose writing I have included, for compensation for that use! .And I apologize for my own lack of professionalism. It was the era of protest against the Establishment, and this was mine.
