Nipponzan Myohoji (Nichiren) Buddhism

The Odaimoko ... Na-Mu-Myo-Ho-Ren-Ge-Kyo
The Odaimoko has been variously interpreted in meaning for me by the Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhists I have known. The one I like the best reads, "I dedicate myself to the wisdom of the glorious Lotus Sutra."
The Lotus Sutra is an amazing teaching with many, many profound implications for us as human beings. If you wish to read an essay that explores some of these implications in a remarkably compassionate yet philosophically erudite context, try this one:

The author compares Nichiren and Zen Buddhist views on these teachings as well as several western philosophical metaphysical concepts, but ends up with the two foundational messages he believes were central to the teachings of The Buddha of interbeing and compassion.
